The Purple Hopseed bush, also acknowledged as Dodonaea is an evergreen noted for its bronzy green leaves that switch deep purple red in the fall. The dense branches of the hopseed bush can be trimmed as a hedge or espalier, or if left un-pruned it makes a superb evergreen display. Plant the hopseed in full sunlight, allowing place for it to grow to about eight-12 feet tall by about six feet vast or clip to shape. As a track record plant, the Hopseed Bush`s bronze foliage will develop a gentle framework for far more vivid flowers. Valuable as a tightly spaced hedge in really sizzling climates for shelter from desert winds. Hardy to USDA zone eight and all larger zones. Preserve effectively watered the very first period, then drought tolerant. Native to New Zealand.
